TREY MANCINI HA UN TUMORE AL COLON AL TERZO STADIO: ''QUEST'ANNO IL BASEBALL SARÀ SENZA DI ME''

Anche se la stagione 2020 dovesse iniziare, Trey Mancini, interno dei Baltimore Orioles, non scenderà in campo. Ad annunciarlo è lo stesso giocatore in un commovente articolo che ha scritto su ‘’The Players’ Tribune’’, la piattaforma multimediale che fornisce contenuti scritti da atleti professionisti.

Mancini, classe 1992, ha infatti rivelato di avere un cancro al terzo stadio al colon. Il tumore maligno è stato rimosso a marzo ed è in un programma di chemioterapia ogni due settimane per sei mesi.

''Se il baseball ritornasse nel 2020, sarà senza di me’’ ha scritto il giocatore, che ha chiuso la scorsa stagione con una media battuta di .291 per 35 fuoricampo colpiti e 97 punti battuti a casa in 602 turni nel box di battuta.

In ogni caso, Mancini non ha dubbi ed è pronto a ritornare in campo una volta superato questo terribile e difficile momento.
